Divine Doubt

The theme of this month is Divine Doubt and invites us to expand our thinking beyond certainty and into unknown territory. Doubt is often a disguise for not knowing, but when framed negatively it acts as a barrier to exploration. Doubt can be certainty in a negative form – we are certain something isn’t true or doesn’t work. And that sense of certainty may be the obstacle to real inquiry, curiosity and exploration.

This month we invite our sense of doubt, in multiple forms, to come forward and be available to deeper exploration and new learning.

Book of the month: Thurman, Howard. Disciplines of the Spirit. United Friends Press, 1963.

New After Service Gathering – Soul’s Journey: Conversation &

Beginning Sunday April 12 (April 5 is Easter!) and then ongoing.

When nothing is scheduled after a Sunday Gathering, Rev Libby will invite anyone interested to join her in conversation. It can be about anything that is coming up for you in your Soul’s Journey. Not a counseling or coaching session, but a conversational exploration with a small group of people around whatever is on your mind.

Roots of Science of Mind

Facilitated by Arliss Dudley-Cash - on Zoom

The Roots of the Science of Mind is more than a class—it’s an engaging, interactive journey into the ideas that shaped one of the most powerful spiritual philosophies of our time.

Together, we’ll explore the brilliant minds that influenced Ernest Holmes, including Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thomas Troward, and Emma Curtis Hopkins—but not just by reading about them. We’ll bring their ideas to life through discussion, reflection, and real-world application.

This is a space where insight meets experience. Expect meaningful conversations, thought-provoking exercises, and moments of personal discovery as we connect these timeless teachings to our everyday lives.

You won’t just learn the philosophy—you’ll live it.

The class runs on Thursdays at 2pm   5/28/2026 - 7/30/2026
Cost: Registration $45 and $200 Tuition (payment plan offered)

Grand Opening Celebration on April 18, 2026

Welcome to Center for Spiritual Living West Hawaii's New Home

We had a blessing with Kahuna Malani that set the tone, and additional personal blessings at the threshold by Tonya Tyler our Practitioner in training, while Kim Schneider, RScP and Gayle Fujimoto gave out gift bags.

Moses Thrasher, Gayle Fujimoto and Sara Linton (who also took all the pictures!) graced us with their musical talents. Thirteen people from CSL East Hawaii caravaned over the mountain to join us, and Rev Beverley Strutt - their senior minister gave us a beautiful gift on their behalf. We also had a group from New Thought Center of Hawaii drive up from Kealakekua to join us.

Shout out to Kim Schneider and Gayle Fujimoto for the fulsome spread of puu-puus, snacks and treats as well as sparkling cider and water brought by Eddy Cash Dudley.

This was a fun and wonderful event – Mahalo nui loa to all who attended and helped make the day special.
